Rumor: unhackable PS3 in the works
After rumors of a serial code system and official word from Sony tantamount to a cease and desist order, more unofficial reports have surfaced of the electronics giant upping the ante to stop PlayStation 3 hackers and pirates in their tracks. However, unlike the previous efforts, this unconfirmed info point to Sony remaking the PS3 as a “hack-proof” system.
Sources have confirmed that Sony, already aware of the ability to bypass the current PS3 security, is  already deeply involved in the development of a “hack-proof PS3 system.” The sources go on to say this new breed of PS3 will be a “slim PlayStation 3 model and will contain a 300GB hard drive as an incentive to purchase the hack-proof system – the price of the SKU will be £186.99.” Other sources say the “unhackable” model’s release will be foreshadowed by price drops on the current console models.
