The way Nintendo keeps spewing out Mario games, Sega does Sonic. And lately, the company has been dropping gentle and subtle hints on both Facebook and Twitter at a new Sonic game coming out in the future. But when Superannuation spotted registrations for SonicGenerations.com and Sonic-Generations.com and you couple that with the fact that the franchise is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, it’s hard to not see a new game coming.
And now, it’s official. The game has been publicly announced and although no mention of the name “Generations” was made or what kind of gameplay the game will pack, the mere thought of a blue, fast-running hedgehog spawning a child in mid-air may be evidence enough that it actually is Sonic Generations you’re seeing in the trailer above.
