Little Boots and DJ Annie Mac ushered in the official launch of PlayStation Network’s Video Delivery Service in London last night. The service, available from today in France, Spain, Germany and the UK, delivers SD and HD movies to the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Portable.

The Dark Knight, Star Trek, Harry Potter and the Order of the Pheonix, Angels and Demons, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Brüno, Transformers 2 and Terminator Salvation are among the 2000+ launch titles, with the promise of many more to come. The movies can be rented from €1.99, or bought from €7.99 – though as things stand HD content is only available to rent.

For existing PSN members, there is a special launch offer up for grabs. All those downloading Angels and Demons on the service will receive a voucher to download The Da Vinci Code for free. Also, anybody registering for a PSN account using their new PS3s between Nov. 19 and 30 can claim a complimentary download of Transformers.
