Star Wars: The Old Republic Update 1.7 coming soon, in-game event starts tomorrow

Brand new content is coming to Star Wars: The Old Republic with the release of Update 1.7. The update includes the ‘Relics of Gree‘ live event and the new Galactic Reputation system. You can check out the recently released trailer below.

The ‘Relics of Gree‘ is a limited time live event that starts tomorrow, February 12th, and runs through February 26th. The event follows the arrival of an ancient Gree starship that has suddenly appeared over Ilum’s Western Ice Shelf. Players need to simply find the nearest News Terminal located on Carrick Station or Vaiken Spacedock to begin the questing. It appears that the Gree have promised those willing to aide them some sweet armor and weapons, so take advantage of this event while you can.

Also being released is brand new Galactic Reputation system, which will give players a new path in character progression. Players will earn reputation points for helping the different factions around the galaxy, including the Gree, that will progress your character through ranks. It appears to be very similar to the Lord of the Rings Online Reputation system, for those of you have played.

So go help those Gree out! I mean, they look friendly enough. And as to whether the Galactic Reputation system will be live tomorrow has yet to be seen, but if you are out their aiding the Gree, it most likely is.
