Steve Ballmer hints at new Xbox 360 price points and features
Microsoft’s Steve Ballmer insinuated that changes are on the way for Xbox 360’s pricing and functionality.
“For that big screen device … there’s no diversity. You get exactly the Xboxes that we build for you. We may have more form factors in the future that are designed for various price points and options, but we think it’s going to [be] important,” the CEO said during a recent talk given at the University of Washington.
New SKUs for the 360 could make sense, as Microsoft may want to offer an equivalent to Sony’s recently released PS3 slim. But what exactly will these changes be? Significant price drops? Smaller system designs? Built-in Natal functionality?
