THQ is prepping an E3 surprise for fans of the fighting genre, its core games division vice president Danny Bilson says. The title is from a “major developer” and once revealed will make people go “oh they’re going with THQ, cool,” he predicts.
“The fighting group is actually taking on the management of another game that we’re going to announce at E3 that has a certain amount of melee combat in it but it’s… we’ll announce it at E3,” he told CVG, adding: “It’s a major developer and you’ll get exactly what I’m talking about when I’m able to talk about it.”
“It’s really cool, it’s another one of the things I’m doing to rebuild everything around the core division of THQ.”
THQ CEO Brian Farrel has previously promised great things from the company’s E3 presence as well; it will “blow people away” he said last month, and will show what “these current boxes [Xbox 360, PlayStation 3] can do”.
