Top 20 rentals of 2009
Don’t you love lists? Entertainment tracking firm Rentrak has recently released its list of the 20 most rented games of 2009 and the results show a very strong presence of Xbox 360 titles. Indeed, 17 of the top 20 games were for the 360 platform. Heading up the list was Fallout 3, followed by UFC Undisputed and Call of Duty: World at War. While Modern Warfare 2 was the year’s biggest seller, it only ranked 12th on the list of top rentals. This is likely due to most people knowing well in advance that they would be purchasing a copy of the shooter up front, rather than waiting to rent the game to see if it was any good.
