THQ’s big shooter bet is off to a promising start; Kaos Studios’ Homefront has shoved aside BioWare’s Dragon Age II and claimed the top spot on the UK’s weekly all-formats sales chart, almost outperforming the studio’s previous offering’s lifetime sales on a single platform; data collector GFK Chart-Track points out that the Xbox 360 version of Homefront has during its opening weekend sold 82% of what 2008’s Frontlines: Fuel of War on the 360 managed in 3+ years.
Homefront also marks THQ’s first #1 since 2009’s UFC 2009: Undisputed.
Other newcomers this week include Shogun 2: Total War (#4), Top Spin 4 (#13) and Yakuza 4 (#25).
