Upgrade to next gen games for $10 at GameStop

The trouble with being on the cusp of next gen consoles releasing and games being released for both gens is that you want to play the games now, but ideally want to wait to play it on next gen also.  So, what do you do? GameStop has you covered, but only for the Xbox 360/One.

If you are a PowerUp Rewards member, select games can be purchased now for the Xbox 360 and then traded in for the Xbox One version.  The way this works is you will receive a $50 guaranteed trade-in credit for the current gen version of the game at purchase. When it’s available for next gen you can trade your current gen version and only pay $10 for the next gen iteration of it.  So, far this is limited to these games:

  • Madden NFL 25
  • FIFA 14
  • Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag
  • Battlefield 4
  • Call of Duty: Ghosts

No information has been released in regards to other games being added to this list.  Also, these transactions must be completed before December 31st, 2013.
