War of the Roses beta begins

Medieval squad-based combat game War of the Roses has reached over 100,000 registered members for their beta according to Paradox Interactive. In return, Paradox has announced that starting today, they will be releasing the first beta keys to those who signed up, allowing them to head into the battle.

Reaching the 100,000 member mark has been a big accomplishment for the developers, and Gordon Van Dyke, Senior Producer for the game spoke a bit about reaching the milestone.

“It’s a real testament to the hard work that Fatshark has put into the game, that over 100,000 people have signed up for the Beta,” said Van Dyke.

Players have been anxious to start playing, and the developers are anxious to see how they respond to the game. Van Dyke also spoke about the enthusiastic beta roster.

“The level of enthusiasm that people have had to start playing has been incredible, and we can’t wait to hear what they think once they’re actually in the game. Our goal right now is to make sure every last person who signed up gets into the beta, but forging 100,000 swords takes a while. We’ll be letting folks in, following the priority order we’ve set, and I’ll see every last one of you on the battlefield!”
