Zombies coming at you in 3D, courtesy of Resident Evil 5 PC

Yep, call it weird, useless, or just good old gimmicky, but Resident Evil 5 will be getting the 3D treatment when it hits the PC later in the year. The game is going to be using NVIDA’s GeForce 3D Vision technology. It’s basically an engine that shows you two images that appear as the single 3D picture that the user sees, sort of like the old Solid Eye kit for Metal Gear Ac!d 2, just a lot more complex.

You’ll have to dig into your wallet though, along with the cost of the game, the basic kit is a further $200, not too tempting a price. Still, is this another step towards every game being fully 3D compatible? You can decide for yourself when the game hits in July.
