Updated / Call of Duty: Black Ops it is, has co-op

Update: Long-rumored locations confirmed

Original story: Activision’s updated the official Call of Duty site ahead of tonight’s teaser trailer, revealing both the title and release date for this year’s Treayarch-developed game; Call of Duty: Black Ops hits the streets on November 9.

The site is pretty barebones right now. Those visiting are only greeted by a short post from the developers: “We at Treyarch are excited to reveal our latest development – Call of Duty: Black Ops! Be sure to head over to CallOfDuty.com/blackops as more details begin to unfold! Follow @JD_2020 and @Treyarch on Twitter for the latest news & discussions regarding Black Ops.”

The official press release arrived moments ago as well; according to studio head Mark Lamia, Treyarch has focused their entire studio on the game, “with dedicated multiplayer, single-player and co-op teams creating the most intense, gripping and riveting experience possible for our fans on all fronts.”

Yesterday, Activision chief operating officer Thomas Tippl said the new game would take the franchise “to the next level”.

The teaser trailer will arrive via GTTV later today.
