Gran Turismo 5 more suited to PS4, says Yamauchi

Kaz Yamauchi has been parping his hype pipe. The Polyphony Digital boss reckons that Gran Turismo 5 would be more suited to the PlayStation 4, such is the game’s awesome awesomeness.

Yamauchi told OPM, “The level of precision we’ve achieved [in GT5] is actually more suited to the next generation of machines.”

Referring to the game’s 200 “premium model” cars Yamauchi also crowed, “The detail that goes into a premium model [has] gone beyond the level of the current PlayStation.”

Pre-release hot air? OPM don’t think so. The new issue carries a preview reporting that “GT5 accurately models mechanical and cosmetic damage to an absurd degree, and whilst the classic models will buckle and crumple, those newer models will near-disintegrate.”

So there ya go. Lots of detail. Lots of disintegrating. Lots of excitement. Still just a car game though, innit?
