Updated / Limbo PSN-bound
Update 2: A Steam release is also in the cards; Patti has confirmed that the PC version is in production alongside the PSN release. We can only imagine it’ll want to target the July launch window as well.
Update: It’s official, Limbo is heading to PSN. The game will be available sometime next month, PlayStation’s Twitter account informs: “Playdead founder @DinoPatti confirms that their masterpiece LIMBO is heading to PSN in July.”
More details are promised for next week.
Original story: Limbo, one of last year’s Xbox Live Summer of Arcade — and Xbox Live Arcade in general — highlights, is apparently heading to PlayStation Network.
The PlayDead Studios moody puzzler has been spotted on the Korean Rating Board (via), citing that Sony Computer Entertainment Korea has rated the title. No luck on dates or anything of the like though.
Whether PlayDead itself is developing the PSN version is unknown also. What is known though is that the studio is busy with a new property.
“I can’t tell much, but I can tell you that if you liked Limbo, it’ll definitely be for you,” CEO Dino Patti teased last fall. “The gameplay style you’ll really like. You’ll feel it’s the same team who made it, but everything will be changed.”
